DC RCMP pen pals with Mile Zero youth

Dawson Creek RCMP received a letter earlier this month - and it was a positive one.

On Feb. 18, Dawson Creek RCMP received a letter from a young student of a local school in Dawson Creek.

"I would like to thank you for your job for protecting this city and its citzens," said the young writer.

The young man reminded RCMP why they do what they do, says DC Staff Sgt. Damon Werrell today.

"No officer asks to be formally recognized for the work that they do, receiving letters such as these remind us why," he says.

"It is a privilege to serve the public and this young student."

The young man received a thank-you note from the Detachment Commander which also included a few small gifts in thanks.
