April real estate sales in Powell River drop 75 per cent

Total 2020 sales valued at $3,354,800, compared to $12,289,927 in 2019

Single-family home real estate sales in April in the Powell River area in 2020 were one quarter of the number sold the previous year.

In April 2020, there were six single homes sold, valued at $2,565,600, compared to 25 units sold in April 2019, with a value of $9,835,927.

There were three mobiles and manufactured homes valued at $429,200 sold in April 2020, compared to five sold in April 2019 with a value of $593,000.

In terms of condos, apartments and duplexes, in April 2020, there was one sold, valued at $235,000, compared to five in April 2019, valued at $1,259,000.

The number of new listings for April 2020 in the residential category was 26, compared to 62 in April 2019. As of the end of the month in April 2020, there were 135 residential active listings.

In terms of non-residential, there was one parcel of vacant land sold in April 2020, valued at $125,000, compared to seven parcels in April 2019, valued at $602,000.

Total real estate sales for April 2020 were valued at $3,354,800, for 11 units, compared to April 2019’s figure of 42 units sold, valued at $12,289,927.

Average selling price in April 2020 was $427,600, compared with $393,437 in April 2019. Average days on the market in April 2020 was 34, compared to 33 in April 2019.
