A man has been charged with dangerous driving after allegedly taking a dispute to the road and crashing his car into a full-size pickup truck on Highway 97 in the Hart.

Brandon James Peters, 39, did not stop there, according to Prince George RCMP, as he reportedly pushed the pickup over three lanes and over the curb near Houghtaling Road. He was arrested near the scene midday Tuesday after RCMP responded to multiple calls to 911.

Based in what witnesses told police, RCMP said it appears Peters deliberately T-boned the pickup following a dispute with the truck's occupants, a man and a woman. Neither of them were injured but a passenger in Peter's car received minor injuries.

Traffic was impeded for a number of hours as RCMP collected evidence at the scene.

Peters was held overnight for virtual court, where he was released on conditions including no contact with the occupants of the other vehicle. He is scheduled to appear in court again on August 5.

RCMP said further charges are possible and are asking anyone else witnessed the incident or has dash camera footage of the two vehicles to contact the detachment at 250-561-3300.
