Police hunting armed robbery suspect

Police were called after a lone male threatened a female with what appeared to be a handgun as he demanded money Wednesday night at about 11 p.m. in a parking lot in the 400-block of Carney Street.

Police were called after a lone male threatened a female with what appeared to be a handgun as he demanded money Wednesday night at about 11 p.m. in a parking lot in the 400-block of Carney Street.

Multiple officers attended the area including a Police Dog Service team.

Officers learned the victim and witnesses believed the gun was a cap gun after the male fired it twice.

The suspect fled on foot empty handed, west towards Douglas Street before police arrived on scene.

The suspect was wearing dark clothing. He was not located.
