A Tim Hortons restaurant in College Heights has been closed until next week after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

The employee's last shift at the 5808 Southridge Ave. outlet was on November 16 and tested positive on Sunday, the company said in an email.

"The team member and those who worked with them are self-isolating for 14 days and will be supported through Tim Hortons corporate and restaurant owner COVID-19 compensation fund to provide for any lost wages," the company said.

"We wish them well and look forward to seeing all team members once their self-isolation is complete."

The restaurant's drive-thru is scheduled to be reopened next Tuesday and the full restaurant two days later following cleaning and sanitization.
