Kamloops Major Men's Fastball League playoff matchups set

Kamloops Major Men's Fastball League post-season play will begin on Thursday at Charles Anderson Stadium.

No. 4-seed HMG Bannockslapz and No. 5 Barriere Giants will clash in the early game, a 6:30 p.m. start, with No. 3 Interior Heat and No. 6 Chu Chua Chiefs to follow, an 8:30 p.m. start.

The top-seeded Frenchy's Prowlers and second-ranked Acceleration Bombers have first-round byes.

Semifinal action will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 21. The best-of-three championship series will get underway on Thursday, Sept. 23.

Regular-season action wrapped up on Tuesday.

The Bombers shelled Bannockslapz 11-4.

Acceleration batters Zeke Gould and Adam Donnelly were both 3-for-4 at the plate and combined to score five runs in support of winning pitcher Doug Hanson.

The Prowlers bested the Heat 9-1.

Steve Davidson was the winning pitcher and was 2-for-3 at the plate. Tony Dennis Jr. had a two-run homerun and Lee Anderson was 3-for-3 at the plate, with two RBI, to help pace the Prowlers.
