Francis artwork focus of exhibit at The Vic

From March 22 to April 23, Tim Francis' work will show at The Vic, downtown at Victoria Street and Fourth Avenue. A virtual opening to display his work online will be held on Monday, 23, at 7 p.m.

Tim Francis has been painting for 50 years, but he's never had enough of his paintings on hand for a one-man show — until now.

From March 22 to April 23, Francis' work will show at The Vic, downtown at Victoria Street and Fourth Avenue. A virtual opening to display his work online will be held on Monday, 23, at 7 p.m.

Part of the show is an online auction for his work, Before all the Fuss, a vibrant portrayal of the Thompson River valleys. Proceeds will go to the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation.

Francis has exhibited his works across Canada and was named one of the "Master Painters of the World" by International Artist magazine in 2001.

The artist has also put together a book of his paintings, released by a local publisher, to coincide with the show. Book signings will take place every weekday morning from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at The Vic for the duration of the exhibit.

He is asking those looking to have a book signed to first make an appointment by emailing timfrancisart@gmail.com.
