Armstrong MetalFest cancelled for second consecutive year

After cancelling the 2020 event, organizers of Armstrong MetalFest have announced the 2021 event has now also been cancelled due to pandemic restrictions preventing gatherings.

The three-day festival featuring live heavy metal and camping would have taken place in mid-July.

"Like many music fans, we were optimistic on 2021 being the year of live music coming back to stages, but we believe as we still must endure this pandemic, we will have to be patient for just a little bit longer," said event organizers West Metal Entertainment.

A return in 2022 is still planned.

In the past, the festival has featured acts such as Kataklysm, Cattle Decapitation, Archspire, Nekrogoblikon and Beyond Creation, among others.

Until 2020, the festival had been held every year since 2009. The festival has about 700 guests each year and puts 30 bands on stage.

Those who held on to their 2020 tickets are asked to hold on once again, and those tickets will be honoured at any festival held from 2022 to 2024. Anyone with an inquiry can contact
