Sloan of Merritt finishes tied for 16th at 3M Open

Roger Sloan fell off the pace late in the final round of the 3M Open, a PGA Tour event that wrapped up on Sunday in Blaine, Minn.

The 34-year-old golfer from Merritt posted a 2-over-par 38 on the back nine to record a 1-over-par 72 for the round, which left him at 9-under-par for the tournament.

Sloan finished in a tie for 16th place.

Cameron Champ of the U.S. finished at 15-under-par to win the tournament, firing a final-round 66 to secure his third PGA Tour victory.
