Kamloops RiverDogs earn split, will host Trail at Norbrock

The Kamloops RiverDogs earned a weekend split in 18-and-under B.C. Baseball College Prep League action on McArthur Island.

Kamloops (8-7) squared off twice against Penticton (6-8) on Saturday, earning a 6-5 victory in Game 1 and dropping the rematch 10-4.

On Sunday, Matt MacDonald belted a home run for the Dogs in a 3-1 victory over Central Okanagan Minor Baseball Association of Kelowna (9-7) in the opener, with the visitors from the Little Apple topping Kamloops 12-4 in Game 2.

The RiverDogs will play host to Trail in a doubleheader on Saturday at Norbrock Stadium.

Game times are noon and 2:30 p.m.
