Executive Suites Hotel and Resort has it all

All hotels offer accommodation: a place to lay your head, a temporary dwelling. The staff at the luxurious Executive Suites Hotel and Resort Squamish, located on Tantalus Drive, has further refined its concept of accommodation to include the provision of almost anything a guest desires. The staff has an abundance of energy and resources to create a “cohesive leisure experience” for individuals, families, or large groups. The hotel can accommodate weddings, corporate conferences and private retreats and get all the details right — including the audio-visual equipment for the presentation, the yellow gerberas for the table and the vegan meal for your out-of-town cousin. There are exceptional views of the Tantalus Range to the west, just beyond the hot tub and heated pool. On the hotel’s east side, guests can relax in the elegant on-site restaurant while their children play on the hotel’s rolling green, with Mount Garibaldi and the Mamquam Glacier in the background.

In June 2012, the resort added another exciting potential for activity by joining forces with Canadian Outback Adventures to provide the opportunity for groups to book packages including rafting. Winter activities that can be arranged through the hotel include snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and dogsledding. A customized and cohesive leisure experience can be built by consulting with the staff regarding food and beverage, accommodation and activity.

Part of the hotel’s goal, General Manager Jared Sissons says, is to “give the residents of Squamish something to do,” especially during the long, oppressive cloak of grey that is winter in the Sea to Sky Corridor. Currently, the on-site restaurant is hosting jazz singer Danielle Sweeney on Thursday evenings. Megan Stack-Tadeson, catering manager, organizes delicious food from the hotel’s Living Room restaurant. And it’s not dropped onto your plate from a bag. The food is fresh: berry ripe in the summer and stick-to-your-bones cozy in the winter. When booking for a larger event, there are many tantalizing options. Not potato salad and cold cuts for your corporate lunch, though the staff is prepared to organize the simple when it is requested. They can also provide groups with sockeye salmon, chef-attended prime rib carvery, artisan cheeses or chocolate fondue.

Executive Suites Hotel and Resort Squamish excels at large event organization and often hosts as many as three Christmas parties per evening leading into the holiday season.  Sissons notes that there is still time to book the resort’s accommodation and services for your unique Christmas event. He expresses his gratitude for the community’s ongoing support and reminds locals that the hotel offers a special rate for Squamish residents. With genuine gratitude, he adds: “It’s appreciation. We value support from the community.”

Your friends at the Executive Suites Hotel and Resort Squamish would like to wish all local residents a happy holiday season and a joyful new year.
