More than 600 cases of COVID-19 have been announced in Alberta.
Dr. Deena Hinshaw, chief medical health officer for the province announced number Tuesday afternoon.
Friday - 154 cases
Satirday - 171 cases
Sunday - 137 cases
Monday - 157 cases
"I'm concerned about the continued rise in cases. Our focus continues to be to limit the spread," said Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Alberta's medical health officer this afternoon, noting school cases thus far have been due to community contacts, not close contacts.
She added school cases were expected.
"Gettting told you have tested positive or are a close contact can be upsetting to kids," she said, noting all students will have to self-isolate as a close contact to a positive case.
"A single negative test does not ensure safety."
