Chetwynd Communications Society gives back

December saw the Chetwynd Communications Society present half a dozen charities and non-profit organizations with nearly $265,000 to fund various programs of each charity.

The six organizations were School District #59, Salvation Army, Tansi Friendship Centre, Bethel Pentecostal Church, Child Development Centre and the Nawican Advancement Society. Jacqueline Van Spronsen-Janssen was on hand representing Bethel Pentecostal and Networks Ministries.

“It was exciting. I have to say it was an amazing experience from such a small town. We picked up a check for $75,000. There was so much joy in the room, everyone was super excited, and I would like to thank all that have participated in a bingo. This is where the money is coming from and those who participated in this,” she said noting the money was going to be earmarked for one project.

“Will go a long way towards  our new building.”

The sentiment was echoed by others.

“Incredible generosity and support,” added a Networks Ministries volunteer fundraiser online after the donation.
