Powell River RCMP reported the following for December 5 to 11, 2019.

December 7; Joyce Avenue, 4700 block
At approximately 3:09 am, police responded to a report of an unidentified male acting suspiciously near the loading bay at the back of a business. Police responded immediately, and located two males on scene who had broken into a stock trailer at that location. The males were arrested for theft, and when searched by police, were both found to be in possession of drugs. Approximately $800 worth of stolen property was located on scene. Police are currently investigating charges of mischief, theft and possession of a controlled substance for both of the males.

December 9; Joyce Avenue
At approximately 2:09 pm, police responded to a mischief complaint at the assisted housing units on Joyce Avenue.  Sometime in the previous 24 hours a window was broken on one of the units.

Possession of stolen property
Powell River RCMP have forwarded charges to Crown Counsel in regards to a theft of windows from a business on Field Street that took place on November 20. Police received a report that two windows had been stolen from that location. Through the course of the investigation, police were able to locate and recover the two windows, valued at approximately $1,000, which were being used on a building project. Charges of possession of stolen property have been recommended to Crown Counsel for three Powell River males.
