Sunshine Coast RCMP are trying to track down the owner of a recreation vehicle that caught fire in Roberts Creek on the weekend.

On Sunday, Nov. 17 at approximately 4 a.m., the Roberts Creek Fire Department was called out to a report of an older model RV that was on fire in the 3200 block of Sunshine Coast Highway.

Police said no persons or animals were found in the Coachmen Leprechaun RV once the fire was extinguished.

The highway between Marlene Road and Roberts Creek Road was closed for about three hours due to the incident.

Sunshine Coast RCMP are trying to locate the RV’s registered owner or any witnesses to this fire. Police said it was seen going through the drive-through at Tim Hortons in Sechelt around 3:30 a.m., when the image above was captured by a security camera.

If anyone has seen this vehicle or knows of where it had been parked prior to this incident, they are asked to call the RCMP.  Anonymous calls can also be placed to CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477.  File 2019-7928 relates.
