Legion Branch #112 in Madeira Park held its annual golf tournament on Saturday, Aug. 24 at the Pender Harbour Golf Club.
The event was very successful, with 50 golfers participating in a modified Texas Scramble format.
The winner of the tournament was the team of Brian Kammerle, Bev Inkster, Noreen Nesbitt and Brian Inkster with a score of 32. Women’s KP was Roberta Oleksyn, Men’s KP was Harold Jones, Women’s Long Drive was Kristall Garbers and Men’s Long Drive Brian Inkster.
Every player was a winner as each received a prize from the event.
The Legion thanks the merchants and members of the communities of both Madeira Park and Sechelt who generously provided their support by gifting all the prizes.
Golf was followed by a barbecue at the Legion.
