What’s in a word?

The majority of scientists, having looked at the evidence, agree that we humans are causing the climate warming that is actually happening. Time and more evidence are making them more certain that this is true. The only uncertainty is the timing of when the tipping point will be reached, not whether there will be a tipping point. It is not simple, but it is correct. Not believing it will not make it go away. Nitpicking how we say there is a problem does not disprove it.

Fortunately, smart people are making progress improving batteries, and making solar cheaper, learning how to recycle more efficiently and learning how to eat less meat by producing delicious substitutes. We are learning. Using the word emergency might make us get it right in time.
