To the staff at the Coast Reporter: Thank you for allowing me to be part of your delivery team for the past 10 years. It taught me responsibility as well as time and money management skills. I have saved half of my paycheque each month in a savings account which I could not touch until I was 18. There was enough in there to pay for a trip to Scotland this March. Unfortunately, COVID cancelled the trip.

To the residents along my routes: I’ve been your paperboy since I was eight years old. I’m now 18 and it’s time to say goodbye. I will be pursuing my passion for mountain biking and my dreams of a career in the military. Thank you for your generous gifts of money and goodies, especially around Christmas. The money allowed me to see and do things I probably never would have experienced, such as camping trips and adventure parks. It also helped me keep my mountain bike in good condition. I shared the honey, cookies and candy with my family. It was all delicious!

To the paper carriers who take over these routes: Good luck! The people you will meet are very nice and I hope you will find this job to be as rewarding as I have.
