Join local historian Dale Peterson on the Sunshine Coast Water Taxi for a one-time-only two-hour special cruise to McNab Creek. Besides receiving additional history of Howe Sound and added scenic viewings, participants will get the opportunity for a 20-25-minute stopover at McNab Creek.

“This is the height of salmon spawning season where you will have the chance to take an approximately 150-metre walk along a beautiful sandy beach, while admiring breathtaking views up the long McNab valley to massive mountains in the background,” Peterson said.

“At this point we will reach the creek itself for the opportunity for the chance to observe the salmon. Many wildlife including bear, eagles, seals and orcas love salmon too, so who knows what else one might encounter?”

The tour is Saturday, Sept. 21, departing at 10 a.m. from Gibsons wharf and returning at noon. Tickets are $65 for one person, $125 for two and can be purchased at RainFlorist, 272 Molly’s Lane in Gibsons, or phone 604-786-5793. For more information call Peterson at 604-886-1424.
