While visiting Trout Lake with my grandchildren, I came upon several cigarette butts around the parking area, on the path and the bathing areas. I believe all public parks have a No Smoking sign posted for obvious reasons.
To those who smoke, I ask if you would respectfully refrain from your habit until you are in your own environment. One careless person at the end of a cigarette can cause immeasurable damage. During this time when so many venues are closed, we can all enjoy the outdoors without the litter and worry of damage to the precious forest around us.
