Helped by a kind lady

Letters

Editor:

On June 26 at about 11 a.m. in Sechelt, near Talewind Books, I crossed Trail Avenue going towards the mall. At about the centre line, my shoe caught a bump or raised pavement. It caused me to really lose my balance and fall forward, stumbling and then crashing into the cement sidewalk with my face.

A lady I didn’t know who had seen what happened came running to help me. She kept hold of me so I wouldn’t fall down again or fall back into the street. She kept talking to me and stayed with me till my husband could come and take me to the hospital and emergency dentist. She was so kind. She did this in spite of COVID-19 possibilities and all the blood from my injuries. There are many great people on the Coast and I was lucky that she was there and is one of them. My husband and I are so grateful to her and we don’t know who she is.

Dr. Reznick and the Emergency Room staff and Dr. Crowley and her dental staff were all really terrific, kind and caring. Thank you to all of them.
