Ferry worse than ever

Thursday was the first time I have travelled on the ferry since March and it was worse than ever. We arrived at 2:45 for the 4:40 and we were locked out before the ticket booths until 4:15 (if you locked your dog in a car for an hour you’d be charged). We were stopped three times in that 200 metres and asked, “Where are you going?” and “Have you got a reservation?” I’m sure one of those groups would have been better used handing out bottled water. The 4:40 was full so we waited for the 6:55 which was half an hour late.

The NDP has done away with preferred boarding for residents so they can kiss my vote goodbye. Also, why do we have to pay for reservations? Reservations to me are like selling spots in the HOV lane. People on pensions are like second-class citizens. It’s our highway, let’s start treating it like one.
