Christmas season comes to the Harbour this Saturday when the Pender Harbour Community Club hosts its annual Christmas Faire 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hall. The Vendors’ Treasure Village will have everything on your shopping list and more. Kids will be busy at Liz’s Creative Centre and the Sunshine Coast Bat Building Workshop. The Hall Home Kitchen will serve up delicious tasty favourites. HUGS will entertain with festive tunes, 50/50 tickets could have you winning $500 and the silent auction will include two quilts, truly works of art. Pull out your funky, fantastic Christmas sweater, put it on, take a pic and wear it to enter the Funky Festive Sweater Contest at the Faire. The Fashion Showdown at high noon will decide the winners by People’s Choice to win a super prize. This family fun event supports the PHCC and maintaining our wonderful Heritage Hall for the great enjoyment of all.

The Harbour Gallery’s annual Christmas Sale begins the same day, Saturday Nov. 16. When you are at the Christmas Faire take a short walk down to the Gallery and check out their original paintings, from miniatures (always popular) to large works, prints and cards. The Gallery is located at 12954 Madeira Park/Gonzales Road right across from the School of Music. Open Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and during intermission at coffee houses and concerts.

The fabulous Sunday Jam this week headlines Peter Van Trio from 2 to 6 p.m. at The Clubhouse. This will also be Tim Rannard’s Birthday Bash. Come enjoy a great afternoon of music, delicious food, drinks and warm hospitality from Mike and his family and staff. Thanks to them, to the musicians and to PH Blues Society president, the lovely Marilyn MacLeod.
