Halfmoon Bay School will be hosting the second annual Night Market, Thursday, Dec. 12 in the HMB School Gym 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Come join them for a fun evening of shopping and Christmas spirit! They have fabulous vendors lined up including crafters, baking and other Christmas treats.
The sixth annual Breakfast with Santa will be held on Dec. 14, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at HMB Community School. Come enjoy a delicious pancake and sausage breakfast, hot chocolate, coffee and tea, a table with elf helpers to write a letter to Santa, and face painting. This is a wonderful family and community event sponsored by Halfmoon Bay School and the Community Association. SCRD director Lori Pratt will be there supporting the event by waiting tables. There will also be carol singing, popcorn, guessing games and more, $6 for adults, $4 for kids. Prices include a photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Get your jingle on!
The Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD) Planning and Community Development Department invites the community to a public consultation meeting on a proposed disc golf course and on future planning for Welcome Woods and Connor Parks. Your feedback will serve to guide future park plans and operations. SCRD staff will be available to answer questions and listen to what you have to say about what is most important to you. The meeting is Tuesday, Dec. 10, 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Halfmoon Bay School library.
Community members will also have an opportunity to provide feedback through a short online questionnaire by visiting www.scrd.ca.
