Why are co-operatives a great solution, especially for health care and housing?
Sunshine Coast Alliance for Seniors’ Care Co-op presents Vanessa Hammond on Sunday, July 5, for a virtual presentation and meeting on Zoom from 2 to 4 p.m.
Hammond, chair of the Victoria Health Cooperative and past chair of Health Co-ops Canada, will provide an overview of what co-ops are, how they work, and how grassroots support gets them off the ground.
John Richmond and Paula Larrondo, founders of the new Sunshine Coast Alliance for Seniors’ Care Co-op, will then provide an update on the group’s latest work towards building local seniors’ care co-ops, and answer any questions.
