Sharon Rosel during these tough times went with her dream inspired by Martin Luther King Jr.’s statement, “If I knew the world was going to end, I would still plant a garden today.” With her sister by her side Sharon is cooking up delicious fave food that is sure to bring happiness and soothe the soul. Reviews have been over the top!

Do you need help with your tax preparation? The Community Volunteer Income Tax program runs from March 1 to April 30 in Pender Harbour. Volunteers are trained to assist you with your income tax preparation. This is a free service for eligible clients.

Three options are available. Walk-in tax clinics (first come, first served) at the PH Community School, 5012 Gonzales Rd., Thursdays 9:30 am to 1 p.m. and the PH Health Centre 5066 Francis Peninsula Rd, Tuesdays 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Drop off/pickup at PH Community School Monday to Friday (drop off through the mail slot in the door and pick up from the box outside) and PH Health Centre Monday to Friday at reception. Your third option is to book and appointment. Call Harry at 604-741-5132. COVID protocols in place.

The Pender Harbour Community Club continues with their membership campaign, both renewals and new memberships. They are just $5 for a single person and $10 for families. Drop off at Tony’s Triple BBBs, e-transfer or mail in. Need a form? Contact me at the email below. The PHCC cares for our beautiful community hall, hosts events and activities.

The Saturday Madeira Market will start up in April. New vendors are welcome and encouraged! If you have been creating during these times, book a table (just $10) and come join this safe and happy event.
