Members of the “Flower Up! Sechelt” committee, under the Sechelt Garden Club’s community projects banner, plant flowers on the Rotary Club’s new downtown patio. From left: Edwin Leung, Gerri Randall and Penny Lyle. They are also joining other clubs to help the Sechelt Downtown Business Association in their “Periwinkle Lane” project to make Sechelt a walkable and more welcoming place. During the pandemic, the club is working on plans to keep members involved by providing gardening information via website newsletters and Facebook. “We’re hoping to have speakers and interesting distanced tours, and maybe by spring some form of our so very popular Strawberry Tea,” said the club’s Penny Lyle. Please call 604-740-9819 to join the Sechelt Garden Club.
