Doors

The outer doors on the Heritage Playhouse in Gibsons, built and designed by cabinetmaker Gary Kent and carver Bradley Hunt in 2000, had become badly weathered but Kent has recently refurbished the doors and Hunt has re-knifed and repainted the carvings. The design depicts the trickster raven, who has transformed himself into a clownish dancer. Note the subtle details in each panel, which also incorporate the iconic comedy and tragedy masks of the theatre.
