Pender Harbour’s Patricia Burnett warms up for a January performance in Sechelt. She takes the stage at The Clubhouse on June 14.

On the most perfect day of this year, music returned to the Harbour at The Clubhouse. The warm welcome back from Mike, family and staff began a stellar afternoon of great entertainment from Dr. Fun with the Blue Line Trio, as fine food, drinks and good times with friends out on the lovely patio prevailed. The deep-fried pickles were divine! Folks danced on the grass below between feasting round the picnic table. The patio at The Clubhouse is a perfect location with beautiful vistas of the golf course.

The good times come again this Sunday, June 14, when the fantastic entertainer Patricia Burnett will rock the house on the keyboards and soaring vocals. Admission is $5. Thanks to the grande dame of music on the Coast, Marilyn MacLeod.

This past weekend was to be the 17th Annual Pender Harbour Blues Festival. It will now be the event of the fall season – Sept. 18 to 20 – when three days of outrageously excellent music will fill the Harbour

Pender Harbour Com-munity Church will be having an outdoor service with distancing precautions this Sunday, June 14. We hope you will join them and hear Doug Atha’s message of encouragement. Please call Kathy at 604-883-9314 to get the location details.

FibreWorks Studio and Gallery will reopen June 27, Wednesday to Sunday, 12 to 4 p.m., and by appointment with protocols in place. There have been some new developments in the Studio during the quiet months. New Sunshine Coast artists who will have their work represented are Vanessa Bjerrskov, Ursula Greiner, Sheleigh McCulluch and Sunshine Coast Fibreshed. Connected, the upcoming exhibit, will run June 27 through Aug. 12. For more information, contact 604-883-2380 or fibreworksgallery@telus.net

Stay safe, everyone and practise the protocols like your life and those you love depend upon it.
