Pender Harbour & Egmont: Flair group meets Saturday

Performing are Hot Java, women’s vocal ensemble; Matt Richards, singer songwriter; Nancy Enns, vocals; and Bonar Harris, guitar. Doors open at 7 p.m. Music at 7:30 p.m. $10 suggested donation at door. Coffee, tea and goodies sold. 

Flair on the Coast this Saturday, Nov. 9, 10 a.m. to noon will feature guest speaker Suzanne Pemberton of Suzanne’s Touch talking about Reflexology and Ortho-Bionomy. The hugely popular Sunday Jam at The Clubhouse will have guest host Jim Foster this week. Bring your friends and family and enjoy the music, food and drinks at this great venue with music from 2 to 6 p.m. Admission by donation. 

Remembrance Day, Nov. 11 ceremonies begin at 10:30 a.m. with the procession through Madeira Park to the Legion. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Refreshments will be served following the services. Everyone welcome. 

Come join the Women’s Connection get-together Tuesday, Nov. 12, 10 a.m. at the School of Music. Gulya Syms, owner operator of The Green Door Spa in Madeira Park, will discuss and demonstrate the services she provides that will prepare your body and lift your spirits for the holiday season. $2 drop in includes refreshments. 

Harbourside Friendship meeting Thursday, Nov. 14 welcomes the Pender Harbour Choir. Come enjoy this musical treat at the Hall, 10:30 a.m. Lunch served at noon. Drop in $10. 

Pender Harbour Music Society 2019-2020 concert series presents Ross Douglas Sunday, Nov. 17, 2 p.m. at the School of Music. Douglas is an award-winning singer/songwriter who performs “songs that blend history, comedy, theatre, a variety of musical genres and a litany of instruments.” His show has been described as energetic and heartfelt, and his rich baritone voice is distinctive. 

The Pender Harbour Aquatic Society will hold its annual general meeting at the Aquatic Centre on Nov. 18 at 4:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. 

November is Bring a Man to Chair Yoga. Men are admitted free to classes Mondays at Sarah Wray Hall 11 a.m. to noon and Fridays at the PH Hall 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. 

The Christmas Faire hosted by the PH Com-munity Club will be a day of festive family fun Nov. 16 at the Hall. Food, music, shopping at the Vendors’ Treasure Village, kids creative centre, 50/50 draw, silent auction including two quilts, and the funky sweater contest. Enter by coming dressed in your winning attire with a photo. The fashion showdown will be at noon, with the winner decided by people’s choice. 

The annual Christmas Sale at Harbour Gallery in Madeira Park will take place Nov. 16, Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Great discounts on a wide selection of artwork, perfect for gift giving.
