The Christmas Toy Sale at the Bargain Barn is this Friday and Saturday, Nov. 22 and 23 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Included in the fantastic selection of treasures are a quality wood kitchen set, kids’ bicycles, near new educational toys, puzzles, marble games, Duplo, playdough, doll furniture and more. 

The Sunday Jam at The Clubhouse Restaurant Nov. 24 headlines the fabulous Joe Stanton. Come enjoy amazing music, delicious food and the warm hospitality of the Clubhouse folks. Admission by donation. Music is from 2 to 6 p.m. 

The Women’s Connection welcomes Margaret Gooldrup and the Pender Harbour Quilters on Tuesday, Nov. 26 presenting the beautiful art and craft of quilting. Come hear a brief history of how this group started, see a demonstration of hand stitching, and enjoy a trunk show of personal favourites. Doors open at the School of Music at 9:45 a.m.; meeting begins at 10 a.m. $2 drop in includes refreshments. 

Harbourside Friendship, Thursday, Nov. 28 hosts guest speaker Dianne Paulus, who will present Food During the Holidays. Come join the fun, 10:30 a.m. at The Hall. Lunch served at noon. Drop in $10. 

Gentleman, you have a great opportunity this month to join in the Chair Yoga sessions for free! Classes are Mondays at Sarah Wray Hall 11 a.m. to noon and Fridays at the PH Hall 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. 

The Pender Harbour Branch of the Sunshine Healthcare Auxiliary is asking for donations for the annual In Lieu of Cards program. Send holiday greetings to friends and family, donors names mentioned as well, to be published in Coast Reporter. All donations go towards purchasing much needed equipment for our local hospital. Looking for a nice way to kick off your Christmas season? The Pender Harbour Choir presents ‘Tis the Season, a program of festive music, new and old. There are three concerts this year: Nov. 29, 7 p.m. at St. Hilda’s in Sechelt, and Nov. 30, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the school of Music in Pender Harbour. Tickets are $20 from EarthFair, Strait Music, choir members and at the door. Children 12 and under, accompanied by an adult, are admitted free of charge. 

Serendipity Christmas Craft Fair is Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 featuring 26 tables of handmade items and delightful goodies by local artisans, hot soup lunch and homemade treats, photos with Santa, 50/50, gift baskets and more. All proceeds support the Serendipity Child Development and Madeira Park Elementary PAC. It’s on 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days at the Hall. 

Thank you to everyone who made the Pender Harbour Community Club Christmas Faire a wonderful, heartwarming success. Proceeds go towards maintaining our beautiful heritage Hall for all to enjoy. This event was so much fun, there will be an encore Saturday, Dec. 14 – perfect timing to complete your shopping and pick up baking treats and festive home décor.
