Great live streams these days for us music lovers. There are royalties coming available for performers with strong attendance numbers. As you are singing along, dancing with your dogs and having a good time, remember to hit the “Share” button and maybe the tip jar. Joe Stanton’s Thursday night at 6 p.m. stream is fantastic! Valdy, now 75 and deemed “a national treasure” (also appeared in The Beachcombers as Halibut Stu) streams Sundays at 5 p.m. Very entertaining and educational half hour. Hopefully soon, our favourite entertainers will be able to earn a little money.

We are keeping safe, happy, healthy and at home. When needing to venture out for essentials to downtown Madeira shops and services, the sunny, smiling gracious service is truly over the top! Thank you to all on the hardworking, dedicated front-line folks. Your heroic daily efforts, now a year into the pandemic, are so appreciated.

Ace organizer Marlene Cymbalist played cupid this week delivering craft supplies to Harbourside Friendship folks who lovingly crafted beautiful, personalized Valentine’s Day cards for the students at Madeira Park Elementary School. Kindness and caring are alive and well in our community.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
