Plans for the Halfmoon Bay Country Fair are starting, and a committee is being formed. Anyone wanting to join in the fun of setting up, please contact me at teknight@telus.net. The Fair date is set for July 11 and 12.

If you are new to the area, please contact Laurie Faulkner of Welcome Wagon at 604-741-1557. Laurie can help you settle into your new environment, let you know what events are happening, and offer lots of free gifts. The Welcome Wagon service is also available to those who have recently had a baby.

Over the past few years the Herring Enhancement Project on the Sunshine Coast has been supported by SCREDO. This year the Halfmoon Bay Community Association will participate along with Pender Ocean Discovery Station (PODS), the Lagoon Society, and four Rotary Clubs from Pender Harbour to Gibsons. If you would like to participate in our area, contact Cindy for more information at cindy.kisser@telus.net

To have your say at the Bay, contact me before 5 p.m. Monday at teknight@telus.net or 604-885-5034.
