Spruce Kings fall to Eagles in OT

The Prince George Spruce Kings took on the visiting Surrey Eagles in the second game of a weekend doubleheader on Saturday night at Rolling MIx Concrete Arena.

The Prince George Spruce Kings took on the visiting Surrey Eagles in the second game of a weekend doubleheader on Saturday night at Rolling MIx Concrete Arena. The game needed overtime to settle things and when it was all said and done, the Eagles walked away with a 4-3 win and a weekend sweep of the reigning Fred Page Cup champions.

Jake McLean and Brett Pfoh both scored their first BCHL goals in the loss, with Chong Min Lee rounding out the scoring for the Kings.

Adamo Santia scored two goals for the Eagles including the OT winner. Also scoring for Surrey were Brett Bliss and Cristophe Tellier.

Next up for the Prince George Spruce Kings are a pair of weekend games when they take on the Victoria Grizzlies on September 13, and the Penticton Vees on September 14. Both games take place at Rolling Mix Concrete arena with puck drop set for 7:00 p.m.
