Lynn helps Capitals double up Spruce Kings

The Cowichan Valley Capitals showed the Prince George Spruce Kings why they rank among the top teams in the B.C. Hockey League Friday night at Rolling Mix Concrete Arena.

Brady Lynn scored his ninth and tenth of the season to give the Capitals a 4-2 win over Prince George. Zach Brooks and Luc Wilson rounded out the scoring for Cowichan Valley while Jaxon Steele and Andrew Seaman were the goal scorers for the Spruce Kings.

Jett Alexander made 20 saves on 24 shots in the loss, in front of an RMCA crowd of 1,101.

The Caps improved their second-place Island DIvision record to 15-9-1-1., while the Spruce Kings (8-12-2-3) remained fourth in the Mainland Division, one point lead ahead of the fifth-place Surrey Eagles. 

The Spruce Kings next game is tonight at RMCA where they will host the West Kelowna Warriors. The opening puck-drop is set for 7 p.m.
