The Prince George Crime Stoppers Society will be hosting a document shredding event this Saturday.
It will be held at the CN Centre parking lot, just off Ospika Avenue, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
"This is a chance for members of the public to shred personal or important documents, helping to ensure they will not be a victim of identity theft," organizers said.
Shred-it Mobile Shredding Services will be on hand to dispose of documents. The service will be provided for a minimum $5 donation and is not meant for business owners.
Barbecued hamburgers from Mr. Mikes will also be available by donation starting at 11 a.m.
All proceeds will go towards supporting the Prince George Crime Stopper Society.
