Lifetime achievement award for management scholar who taught at Royal Roads

Victoria’s Mike Thompson has been honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the B.C. chapter of the Canadian Association of Management Consultants.

Thompson recently retired as associate professor of management consulting at Royal Roads University.

Under his guidance, the management consulting elective in the master of business administration program has provided a pathway to the CMC designation, with more than 90 Royal Roads MBA graduates attaining the certification.

He is a former trustee representing CMC Canada within the International Council for Management Consulting Institutes. In 2013, Thompson was awarded the prestigious ICMCI Academic Fellow designation in recognition of his commitment to the field of management consulting education.

Thompson holds visiting professor appointments at the Graduate School of Business, Grenoble, France, and Bank of Beijing, China.
