Just in time for the May long weekend, four Island restaurants have made OpenTable’s Top-100 List for Outdoor Dining.
OpenTable, a provider of online restaurant reservations and part of Booking Holdings Inc., said after a winter of restrictions due to the pandemic, Canadians are “enthusiastically” dining out, as May reservations are up 61% from pre-pandemic 2019.
Making the top outdoor eating experience on the Island are Fireside Grill in Saanich, The Dining Room at Butchart Gardens in Brentwood Bay, Finn’s Seafood, Chops and Cocktails in Victoria and Unsworth Restaurant in Mill Bay.
This year’s list, curated from diner reviews, features top-rated OpenTable restaurants from four provinces.
Ontario topped OpenTable’s list with 62 establishments, followed by British Columbia with 21, Alberta with 15 and Quebec with two.
