Coho starts summer schedule, 4 sailings a day

The MV Coho is about to be put through its paces as Black Ball Ferry expands its service and sailings for the summer.

Effective immediately and running through until Sept. 3, the ferry will make the 90-minute trip between Victoria and Port Angeles four times a day.

Sailings from Victoria will leave at 6:10 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Port Angeles departures will be at 8:15 a.m., 12:45 p.m., 5:20 p.m., and 9:30 p.m.

After the initial 6:10 a.m. sailing on Sept. 4 from Victoria, the schedule will return to three departures from each port daily.

Over the last 60 years, the Coho has transported more than 25 million passengers and six million vehicles. Each year, in excess of 475,000 passengers and 130,000 vehicles make the trip between the two ports, and as much as $300 million worth of goods is transported on the Coho between the U.S. and Canada.
