Clipper I makes last Victoria-Seattle run before retiring

Clipper I, the vessel that launched the 31-year-old passenger ferry service between Victoria and Seattle, will make its last run between the two cities today. The 40-metre vessel, which can carry 293 passengers, is being retired.

Clipper I, the vessel that launched the 31-year-old passenger ferry service between Victoria and Seattle, will make its last run between the two cities today. The 40-metre vessel, which can carry 293 passengers, is being retired. It will be replaced by Clipper’s newest and fastest vessel, Clipper V. The new 52-metre catamaran has a 579-seat capacity and can travel at up to 36 knots. Clipper V has a galley that can serve hot food, a gift shop, duty-free service, and three classes of seating including business class with a private cabin area, snacks, beverages, and leather seats. It will be put into service in March.
