On Saturday, 17 September, from 4:00 to 8:00pm, the Hindu Parishad and Cultural Centre and the Victoria Multifaith Society will host “One Spirit: Celebrating our Faiths Together” at 1934 Cultra Avenue, Saanichton.

All are welcome to attend this arts-based devotional celebrating all faiths.

One Spirit brings together diverse styles of singing, chanting, movement and instrumentals by members of the Hindu, Indigenous, Muslim, Buddhist, Bahá’í, Jain, Sikh, Christian and New Thought communities.

The program of about one hour, held in the prayer hall of the temple, will be followed by an Indian vegetarian meal in the dining area, where guests and participants can mix and mingle. The meal is provided by members of the Hindu community and served by volunteers.

Please register early at this Eventbrite link since space is limited. A donation box will be available for those who would like to contribute to the cost of the meal. Volunteers are also welcome to sign up on the Eventbrite form.

The evening is a collaborative effort of the Hindu Parishad & Cultural Centre and the Victoria Multifaith Society. Over the years, this has become one of the most popular events in the VMS roster of activities, attracting a joyful and enthusiastic crowd.

People are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing. Shoes are removed at the door and the carpet provides space for all to sit, with chairs around the periphery. Following the program, the meal is served at tables in the adjoining room and the evening draws to a close at 8 p.m. Children are also welcome to attend.

The Hindu Temple is thanked in advance for providing this wonderful opportunity to celebrate our faiths and our cultures through the arts!

Register here to attend.
