Foul Bay Road was a speedway again Monday night when an Oak Bay police officer clocked an 18-year-old driver going 119 kilometres per hour in a 50 km/h zone.

The result was a $483 fine for excessive speeding and a seven-day vehicle impoundment. Excessive speed comes into effect at 40 km/h over the limit.

Just over a month ago, two drivers — one of them also 18 — travelling at 96 and 106 km/h in a 50 km/h on Foul Bay Road ended up with a similar punishment.

All of the incidents happened between Lansdowne Road and Fort Street/Cadboro Bay Road.
