West Shore RCMP are looking for dashcam footage of a road-rage hit-and-run involving a white sedan in Langford on Oct. 15.

Police say the incident took place around 8 p.m. on Happy Valley Road near Luxton Road. The victim was driving a grey Honda Civic, travelling southbound on Happy Valley Road when a white sedan driving eastbound on Luxton Road turned right onto Happy Valley Road without stopping at a stop sign.

The white sedan cut off the victim’s vehicle and stopped in the middle of the road in front of the car. The vehicles did not collide at that point, police said.

The driver of the Honda Civic drove around the other sedan to avoid a confrontation, police said. The white sedan then chased after the driver, drove beside it and intentionally struck the car, damaging the rear of the vehicle and causing the driver to spin out of control.

The white sedan was seen travelling eastbound on Latoria Drive following the incident.

The suspect is described as a white man in his late 20s, about five foot eight with a medium build and short, thin, blond hair. He was wearing a navy blue hoodie and a green vest.

Anyone who witnessed the incident of who may have dashcam footage is asked to call West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264.
