Victoria’s Netherlands Centennial Carillon gets a facelift

The landmark is going through a $50,000 renovation with concrete repairs and sealing to prevent deterioration. Similar work was done in 2009 and is required about every eight years to make sure the concrete is properly sealed.

Repairs are scheduled to be finished by Sept. 25. The 62-bell Carillon was a gift from B.C.’s Dutch community to honour Canada’s 100th birthday in 1967.
