Vancouver police are investigating a fatal solo vehicle crash on Terminal Ave in Vancouver in the early hours of Sat. March 5, 2022.

A 27-year-old man was killed early Saturday morning when his vehicle crashed into a concrete SkyTrain track pillar in Vancouver.

The driver, a resident of Maple Ridge, was the sole occupant of a black Chrysler 200 when he lost control of the car at around 2:25 a.m. Saturday (March 5), according to the Vancouver Police Department. He was heading east on Terminal Avenue when the collision occurred.

Efforts to save the man’s life were not successful and he died on scene, indicate the VPD in a media release.

An investigation is underway, and the VPD is hoping anyone with information about the crash or the vehicle will come forward.

VPD’s Collision Investigation Unit is looking into whether speed and alcohol were factors. To that end, they ask that anyone with information, including people who saw the vehicle prior to the collision or has dash-cam video, please contact investigators at 604-717-3012.
