Dave and Marg Hodgins wrote about the accessibility difficulties they have encountered now that their son is in a wheelchair [“Letter: Accessibility improvements missing simple steps,” July 25].
We have also noted and reported to city hall that several hedges have badly overgrown on the sidewalks around Powell River. If two people cannot walk abreast, what chance has a wheelchair or a stroller?
Some areas were partly trimmed last year but are starting to grow back.
Please check the growth encroaching on sidewalks near your property.
