Seniors Week in Delta is going to look a little different in 2020, so the city needs the community’s help.
Since we are not able to celebrate seniors in our community together, the City of Delta is encouraging Delta residents of all ages to safely engage with the seniors in their neighbourhood through its new, interactive Shine Bright for Seniors Bingo game.
The game is comprised of simple tasks, designed to foster connections, promote compassion and show seniors that their community is thinking of them. Of course, these tasks respect physical distancing.
Friendly competition is encouraged between family members, friends, and neighbours to see who will get a line during Seniors Week, which is June 1 to 7.
The ultimate goal is to rally Delta around a common goal of recognizing and celebrating our seniors.
