It took a year since it received preliminary approval but now it’s looking like the final go-ahead could be granted for a new Triple O’s in Ladner.

In January 2018, an application to redevelop the Chevron gas station on Ladner Trunk Road to remove the auto service area and replace it with the restaurant went to a public hearing.

The proposal includes a renovation of the existing gas station, including the gas pumps and canopy. The restaurant would have 11 seats inside and a 28-seat patio, an updated Town Pantry convenience store and new landscaping. There was no drive-thru proposed for eatery at 5206 Ladner Trunk Rd., which was originally to operate from 6 a.m. to midnight. No changes to the three existing accesses are proposed.

Council on Monday will give final consideration for the application. A report notes that, following the public hearing last year, the applicant was told to also provide a written ventilation plan, confirmation of partial enclosure of the patio and confirmation of a 10 p.m. closure time for the restaurant and 11 p.m., at the latest, for the convenience store. The report notes those conditions have been satisfied.
