Ladner's Landing Facebook group member Kaitlin Viers shared some pictures and video of a recent trip to the George C. Reifel Bird Sanctuary.
"If you haven't been, I highly recommend it," part of the post read.

The sanctuary on Westham Island consists of nearly 300 hectares (850 acres) of managed wetlands, natural marshes and low dikes in the Fraser River Estuary, the sanctuary's website notes.
"For the millions of birds seeking feeding and resting areas during their annual migrations along the Pacific Coast, the sanctuary is ideally located," it states.
"It was such an amazing time. The birds were so friendly. Everybody should go," Viers said in a message to the Optimist.
