The public is urged to avoid the area of Scott Road and 64th Avenue and roads in the area will be closed until further notice, Surrey RCMP say in press release.
A gas leak is the cause, police say.

Police note the leak "may have originated from a restaurant in the area" and "no cause is determined at this time."
